About Randall Balmer

Randall Balmer is professor of American religious history at Columbia University and visiting professor at Yale University Divinity School. He is editor-at-large for Christianity Today and the author of eleven books, including Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory, an exploration of the evangelical subculture in America that was adapted into an award-winning documentary for PBS. His newest book, God in the White House: 1960-2004, examines the role that religion has played in the personal and political lives of America’s presidents.
